The plain-language rules for using this website and Webangon’s plugins and themes. By using either, you agree to what follows.
Webangon (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an independent WordPress plugin and theme development company based in Tangail, Bangladesh. We publish free plugins and themes through the official WordPress.org repository and operate this website to describe them (“the Site”).
By accessing the Site or installing any Webangon plugin or theme (together, “the Products”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or the Products. If you use the Products on behalf of a client or organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms for them.
All Products are licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL), version 2 or later — the same license as WordPress itself. Under the GPL you may use the Products on any number of sites, study and modify their code, and redistribute them under the same license. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the GPL grants you.
The Webangon name, logo and website content (text, graphics and design) are not covered by the GPL and may not be used to imply endorsement or affiliation without written permission.
You agree not to use the Site or Products to break the law, infringe others’ rights, distribute malware, or misrepresent modified versions of the Products as official Webangon releases. When redistributing modified versions under the GPL, please rename them so users are not confused about their origin or support channel.
Support for free Products is provided on a best-effort basis through the WordPress.org support forums and our contact form. We aim to reply within 1–2 business days but do not guarantee response times, resolutions, or the availability of support for modified versions of the Products.
We release updates through WordPress.org at our discretion. Features may be added, changed or removed between versions. We recommend keeping backups (our Site Backup plugin exists for a reason) and testing updates on a staging site before applying them to production. We may retire a Product from active development; existing installs keep working under the GPL.
The Products depend on third-party software we do not control, including WordPress and, for our addons, the Elementor page builder. Their terms and licenses apply to their software. WordPress® and Elementor™ are trademarks of their respective owners. Webangon is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the WordPress Foundation, Automattic, or Elementor Ltd.
The Site and Products are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement — consistent with sections 11 and 12 of the GPL. We do not warrant that the Products will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that they will work with every theme, plugin or hosting configuration.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Webangon shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages — including lost profits, lost data or site downtime — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or the Products, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your site and data.
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version, with its effective date, will always be published on this page. Continued use of the Site or Products after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be brought before the competent courts of Bangladesh.
